Jen is an E-RYT 500 registered yoga teacher who has always had a connection to the exploration of movement and the expression of her heart and is thankful to her Father and her late Mother for this upbringing.

She has been studying movement and yoga for the majority of her life and has been teaching yoga since 2001. She has taught a variety of aspects in the yoga realm including public classes, business classes, yoga for special populations, kids/teen yoga, paddleboard yoga, private sessions, retreats, workshops, teacher clinics and teacher trainings. She has also had her own teacher training school, Lotus School of Yoga.

Her teaching style trajectory is to offer clear precise alignment that is playful as well as soulful.

While teaching she brings in her wisdom from her many years of studying dance/modern dance and other various forms of movement, where she had the opportunity to learn about energy, anatomy, and the fullness of expression. This is intertwined with her in-depth study of asana,  therapeutic benefits of yoga, and non-dual philosophy. She has studied with Mary Johnston-Coursey, Noah Maze, Desiree Rumbaugh, John Friend, Judith Lasater, Simon Park, Donna Farhi, Douglas Brooks, Doug Keller, Sianna Sherman, and many other amazing teachers.

In 2012 she began her studies in Craniosacral Therapy under the Upledger Institute. With a nice pause in this area she is now back to studying with them again. She also has studied with Cate Stillman, originally in 2006 and more in depth starting in 2016 for a few years. Main areas were habit science, dinacharya (Ayurvedic daily routines) and how to support people into healthy living (Yoga Health Coaching). In 2021 she was trained and worked with several individuals doing 1 on 1 assisted stretching using PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation). Recently (2023) she has been studying with The Embody Lab "Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy" Diving into a different therapeutic focus in this somatic area is something she has wanted to explore since 2000, she is very excited about this.

Besides all the joy and in-depth awareness that is brought from practicing, studying, and teaching she also appreciates many other avenues that add to the richness of life. One, in particular, is being with her husband and daughter especially on the trails where she finds a great amount of peace and love.

Come ready to play and find a deeper connection to your heart.
